GIRLS IN ICT: Delali Juliet of Sankore D/A 'A' JHS Emerges As The Overall Best Student In Ahafo Region

Delali Juliet from Sankore D/A 'A' JHS in the Asunafo South has been crowned the overall best student of the Ahafo edition of GIRLS-IN-ICT Program.

Sankore D/A ‘A’ JHS is a school situated at Sankore, in the Asunafo South district of Ahafo Region headed by Mr. James Duku.

The contest was between the six Districts in the Ahafo Region of Ghana.

Delali, the overall best received 3000 Ghana Cedis, a laptop, Laptop Bag, Certificate and a plaque as her prize, the second took home an amount of 2500 Ghana Cedis, a laptop, Laptop Bag, Certificate and a plaque with the third best student taking home a sum of 2000 Ghana Cedis, a laptop, Laptop Bag, Certificate and a plaque as prize.

The happiest part of it all is that the best twenty students out of the 1000 participants will have a well furnished ICT Labs in their Schools.


Delali Juliet who emerged as the winner is said to have looked disturbed after the Intra District Practical examination session organized by the GIICT Coordinator under the auspices of the Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Mrs. Ursulah Owusu-Ekuful

Dela as she is called by her teachers nearly shared tears because she thought she was not going to make it at the end.

But Dela, is now the overall best student as far as GIRLS IN ICT, Ahafo, is concerned.

The occasion, Climax was held at the auditorium of Acherensua Senior High School and graced by the Hon. minister of Communication and Digitalization and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency who is in the person of Hon. Ursular Owusu-Ekuful, Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Yaw Boakye, Hon. Collins Dauda, MP for Asutifi South, the Deputy minister of Communication and other dignitaries.
