ASHANTI REGION : Chairman Wontumi Fumes over Hon. Francis Assenso-Boakye's Decision on the Electoral Process

The New Patriotic Party scheduled its Regional Executives’ Elections to be taken place on 27th and 28th of May, 2022.

Ahafo Region and some other Regions finished theirs on Yesterday 27th May, 2022.

Today happens to be that of Ashanti Region and other Regions but the most momentum gaining Region is the Ashanti where there is a strong contest between the contenders, thus Bernard Antwi Boasiako Popularly known as Chairman Wontumi; an incumbent Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah also known as Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA); a former member of parliament for Ejisu, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi; a former Asokwa Constituency Chairman, Robert Asare-Bediako and Oheneba Kofi Adum Bawuah.

As the election was ongoing, there was a misunderstanding as to whether the Tescon Representatives should be allowed to partake in the voting because there was confusion in the sense that some TESCON representatives’ names weren’t in the list of Voters.

It came to a point where all the aspirants were to be engaged to deliberate whether they (The Tescon Reps) should be allowed to vote or not.

With the exception of Chairman Wontumi, the remaining four contenders together with Hon. Francis Assenso-Boakye, the MP for Bantama came into conclusion to debunk the fact that the Representatives of TESCON should be allowed to vote.

Chariman Wontumi who couldn’t hide his disappointments in the MP for Bantama Constituency for joining his contenders later availed himself to interrupt the MP’s interview with TV3 concerning whether the Tescon Reps should be allowed to vote or not.

Who are you to stop the TESCON Representatives from voting ? Chairman Wontumi fumes whiles the MP was granting a live interview with TV3
