JUST IN: Get yourselves some Private Schools to teach - Ministry Of Education to Unemployed Qualified Trained Teachers

The Ministry of Education headed by Honourable Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the MP for Manhyia South, is alleged to have told the Unposted Qualified Trained Teachers of 2018 batch in an unofficial and unprofessional manner to get themselves some private schools to teach instead of disturbing them (MOE) for Government postings.

2018 Trained Teachers from all the Colleges of Education in Ghana were asked to write a Licensure Exam after their College Processes without any learning materials of which the examination will be based on.

These same teachers after writing the examination which some of them reffered to as " a calculated attempt " to deny them postings, were once again asked to undergo a one year mandatory National Service of which some of the Trained teachers have still not received their allowances for a month or two.

The rationale behind the organisation of the examination was to be used in posting the then Newly Trained Teachers.

Some of these Innocent Trained Teachers went through a lot of tribulations to the extent of not being confirmed by the Organisers of the examination, National Teaching Council, NTC, after successfully going through the examination processes.

The Honourable Minister of Education, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who is popularly known by his constituents and Ghana as a whole as Napo, was in the early of September heard, promising these teachers who got themselves a mere Diploma Certificate for almost four years of postings.

Upon the 'curse like' promise from the Minister, believe you me, it was to no avail.

It was some where in December where the Postings finally came after a Press Statement which had in hand, Mrs. Van Vicker.

These postings also came in batches.
The first postings came leaving some unposted.
The second too came still leaving some unposted.
Those who were still not posted after the second list were told to send their particulars to the Regional Offices for postings of which they did.

These teachers have been in a 'waiting zone' without receiving even a message to encourage them of any process.

After being sick and tired, they decided to organise themselves to find out what is really happening, that is when and where they were told categorically, to get themselves in private schools for survival by Mrs. Van Vicker in the presence of Napo.

    1. Distanced studies I have always say is a waste of time, energy and resources unless otherwise you were already working. Posting is always a challenge no matter the regime. I pity you bro but I don't see your situation being resolved anytime soon. If you know someone who can assist you go to him instead of waiting for direct posting

  11. Frankly speaking, I consider this statement as unprofessionalism and insensitivity at its highest level. Do we have to beg for what we ought to have? What kind of country are we living in? Well, in as much as politicians will always have their way, we the commoners shall also have our way out at the due time. Good luck to the insensitive government of insults and abuse of human rights.

  13. This is incredible. We are all Ghanaians please. The NPP G
government made a mistake choosing NAPO as a minister for education. If they want us to vote for them then they should post us or else we will vote them out of office. Politicians are very evil. And greedy, and unlawful people on the face of the earth.

  14. This government and so called minister has forgotten December is just at the corner. It's seems the minister has never given birth

  15. What at all does this so called minister of education and his cohorts take we teachers for? Well, he can't really be blamed. We shouldn't even expect anything reasonable from him when he (a square peg) has been forced to have it's way into a round hole. Because he never studied anything about educational psychology and administration, he doesn't really know what he's about...... But he should simply ask what caused the downfall of NDC in 2016. He should always remember also that no matter how he got there, the position will never be his prossession

  21. What crime have teachers committed under this wrongfully placed minister in our education sector. If really Napo said so then, he should think twice, reflect on his past and focus on tomorrow
